All of this information can be accurately conveyed through a scaled floor plan, compass readings (which we guide you through using a simple smartphone app), and photographs of each room and the entrance. The analytical process is identical to an in-person consultation. The main limitation of remote consultation is that an experienced consultant can sometimes sense subtle energetic qualities of a space in person that cannot be captured in photographs — but for the practical, actionable recommendations that constitute 95 percent of a Vastu report, remote consultation is fully equivalent.
Absolutely. Many of our clients provide hand-drawn sketches of their floor plan, and these work well provided they include a few key details: the approximate dimensions of each room, the position of all doors and windows, the location of the kitchen and bathrooms, and an indication of which direction the main entrance faces. We provide a simple floor plan template and a short guide to help you capture everything we need. If you are unsure about compass orientation, we will guide you through how to take an accurate reading using the compass app on your smartphone — this takes less than five minutes and significantly improves the precision of the analysis.

Open your smartphone compass app and note the direction you are facing. This is the facing direction of your apartment's entrance and is one of the most important data points in a Vastu analysis. If your apartment has a particularly irregular shape or multiple potential entry points, we will discuss this with you during the intake process and guide you on how to capture the relevant orientation data accurately.
